Berjé’s natural citral (FEMA#  2303, CAS# 5392-40-5) is extracted from Litsea cubeba, which imparts an exceptionally tart and citrusy aroma strongly reminiscent of fresh lemons. The softer, somewhat fruity undertones of Litsea provide subtle enhancement to the otherwise intensely juicy and zesty aromatic profile of conventional citral.
